UNTRUSTWORTHY SELLERS ON EBAY, AMAZON, CRAIGS LIST - CAVEAT EMPTOR

The revolutionary Ab Coaster is slowly becoming THE piece of abdominal equipment that people recognize as the best way to get a lean, cut waistline and rock hard abs. With thousands of happy customers, and thousands of fitness professionals using the Ab Coaster, it is inevitable that illegal counterfeiters would try to copy our success.

Which leads to EBAY, AMAZON and CRAIGS LIST. We have been hearing reports from customers about low-priced "new Ab Coasters" being available for sale on these websites. Be aware: these "ab coasters" are NOT authentic Ab Coaster products. These are cheap "knock-offs" made by overseas companies who make look-alike products and try to pass them off as authentic goods.

These fake "new Ab Coasters" being sold on Ebay, Amazon and Craigs List do NOT have a manufacturers warranty, and the Ab Coaster Company will not service these counterfeit goods.

In order to sell at cut-rate Low Prices, the counterfeiters use cheap material and sub-standard workmanship.

If the item you buy is defective or breaks down, which is very likely since these goods are poorly manufactured, then you run the risk of losing all your money and even sustaining an injury, with no recourse.

CAVEAT EMPTOR means "Buyer Beware". These copy-cat products appear to look very similar to the real Ab Coaster because these scam companies COPY all of our artwork and our copyrighted materials, and then attempt to pass off their items as offical Ab Coaster products. They use our product name, photographs, and text all in an effort to FOOL YOU into believing you are buying an authentic Ab Coaster.

The Ab Coaster Company is working with Amazon and Ebay to have these counterfeiters removed from the Internet, but the legal process takes time. Until we can remove these illegal goods from the Internet, we want to let our Ab Coaster customers know: CAVEAT EMPTOR.

The only authorized Ab Coaster websites on the Internet are located here at www.AbCoaster.com and at www.AbCoasterClub.com (for the commercial Health Club market).

Make sure you are buying authentic goods when buying your Ab Coaster - the safest way to do so is by going online at the above 2 websites, or by calling the 800 number from the TV commercial.

PS: This is an Ab Coaster Ebay UPDATE to the above blog entry.

In an attempt to counteract the illegal counterfeiters on Ebay, the Ab Coaster Company has opened an official Ebay store to carry authentic Ab Coaster products. Here is a link to the ONLY official Ab Coaster Ebay store:

PS: Update about Craigs List.

The counterfeiters are very "creative" in trying to fool you into buying their products. Their fake "Ab Coaster" products are being advertised as "new" or "in the box" or "barely used", when in fact they are not actual Ab Coaster products at all.

Here is an email from a customer who was fooled by a seller on Craigs List:

----------------------------------------------------

We saw a posting on San Diego Craig's List for a Brand New Ab Coaster Professional Series. It was labeled as follows:

BRAND NEW AB COASTER PROFESSIONAL (Retail: $500) - $350 (Orange County)

We contacted the seller and he replied with his contact number to discuss. We negotiated for $320 but we would drive up north to pick it up (about 1hr and 20 minutes drive). We wanted it as soon as possible and we just couldn't find a retail store that sells it in our area. He told us to meet him at a parking lot near his place in which we did.

Upon arriving, I asked him why he was getting rid of it and he said someone gave it to him as a gift and he just doesn't have room for it in his house to keep it. But as he was backing up after closing the deal, I noticed his van had other boxes. This got me very suspicious but I gave him the benefit of the doubt that what he was selling us was indeed an authentic Ab Coaster machine. As we unpacked the Ab Coaster, I started noticing the poor quality of the product. There were several misspellings on the panel where the counter sits and the vinyl that was used for the arm area was poorly made. I contacted the seller via email and phone. I received a call back from him and I told him I have a reason to believe that the product he sold us is a knock-off because of the poor quality and the misspellings.

He said "Just because it has misspellings doesn't mean it's a knock-off. These products are made in China and there will be times where the spelling may not be correct."

He told us again that the Ab Coaster he sold us was given as a gift so he doesn't know where his friend got it from. So I pleaded with him to try and get more information from his friend regarding where he bought the product from so I can do additional research on the authenticity of the product before calling Ab Coaster directly. He agreed to help and even asked me to send a picture of the rip on the armrest. After waiting days and weeks, I still did not hear from him. I tried to email him once again to remind him to do research on his end but never heard back from the guy. I called Ab Coaster and got in touch with very helpful people. They are working with me to stop this guy from selling counterfeit products. Thank you, Ab Coaster, for your support and concern!
